On January 1, 2013, Farmers Insurance will help one lucky couple, Nicole and Gerald of Chesapeake, VA, ring in the new year with wedding bells as they say their “I Do’s” atop the Farmers Insurance “Love Float” at the Tournament of Roses® Parade.
Nicole and Gerald are the winners of the Farmers Insurance Dream Wedding contest, the first-ever national contest of its kind to find a couple who would tie the knot on “The Love Float” at the Tournament of Roses® Parade. Following an open submissions period, the contest entries were narrowed down to the top four couples. The contest was then opened up for public voting via Facebook. Gerald and Nicole rallied the support of their family, friends and their community to get their votes – the pair even dressed up as a bride and groom to get attention! Once the contest closed, the votes were tallied and it was clear that Nicole and Gerald’s fated love story captured the hearts of people across the country!
